So I came home today and booted up ma lappy only to find that its hard drive (which happens to be my main HDD for my music and this blog) had failed. I'll get it replaced (and hopefully recover some data), but for now I won't be able to update.
Let this also be a reminder to me that I should back up my collection more than once every 2 months =/
